Eligibility for Government Funded Courses
All applicants for Government subsidised courses must be an Australian citizen or a holder of a permanent visa or a holder of a Special Category Visa (sub-class 444); or East Timorese asylum seeker; or a holder of a Temporary Protection Visa.
As of 1 July 2009, for all Qualifications:
- Applicants must also be applying for a course at a higher level than the highest qualification already held.
This is waived if the applicant is under the age of 20 on January 1, 2010 or applying for a Foundation Skills Course (Please note that Parker Brent Institute does not currently offer Foundation Skills courses).
What you can be expected to pay?
If you are eligible for a Government subsidised place:
For Certificate III and Certificate IV courses, your contribution would be between $120 - $500.
For Diploma, Advanced Diploma courses, your contribution would be between $225 - $1500 (courses run into 2010).
Transport
All day car parking is available in the basement of the building, accessible from Little Collins St. at a cost of approx. $30.00. Alternatively, take tram to cnr Collins & Elizabeth Sts or train to Flinders St Station followed by 10 min. walk to 350 Collins St.
